Part of a group, but still an Individual

Yesterday in my science teaching seminar, we had an hour long discussion about, "Are all the colors in the rainbow?" My students were very engaged with the discussion and we also had a lot of fun. There were lots of good questions and ideas that you can read about here.

Afterward, we talked about what makes a science conversation interesting, and I have been deeply moved by something profound that one of my learning assistants said:

"I liked feeling like I was part of a group, but at the same time, I was still an individual."

All I can say is wow.
